For over a decade Georgia has been home to one of the most generous film tax incentives in the country. The growth of Georgia’s film industry has led to an unprecedented demand for world class production space in the state. With this in mind, Athena Studios was founded to provide sound stages and support space for the film industry using the latest cutting-edge technology.
With over 200,000 square feet of purpose-built space for TV and film production, and 150,000 square feet of additional space to come, Athena Studios is a leader in the film industry providing a world class production campus in Georgia. At Athena Studios, creatives can bring their vision to life in a secure environment with everything they need at their fingertips – sound stages, spacious backlot, production offices and support space.
Our partnership with the University of Georgia and the Georgia Film Academy provides a production learning center for students to hone their craft and become the next generation of filmmakers in Georgia. Promoting education and workforce development is just one of the ways Athena Studios pays it forward to make Georgia a global leader in the film industry.

Joel Harber is President and CEO of Athena Studios. With over 20 years of real estate development experience, he provides invaluable knowledge to ensure Athena Studios is the premier production facility in the United States.
Michael Uribe
Michael Uribe is Vice President at Athena Studios overseeing all studio operations and marketing. Previously with Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, he brings over 20 years of domestic and international production and creative experience to Athena Studios.
